Twas The Week Before Christmas, And My House Was For Sale

christmas decorations

Twas the week before Christmas

and all through the house

every room had been cleaned and prepared

by the Stager and her spouse.

The furniture had been placed...each accessory chosen with care,

in hopes that a buyer, very soon would be there.

The Home Stager has become the Seller!

It's the week before Christmas and my Portsmouth NH home is for sale.

One thing is for certain, I'm a woman of my word.  I practice what I preach! All those times I said to a client "if it were my house I would..." have become a reality.   This selling business is no fun....especially when you are as serious about preparation and presentation as I am.  There has been no rest and will be no rest until a buyer is found.

Pray for us!  LOL!

One very important thing I've learned....don't let Winter or the holidays scare you away from listing.  We have seen a lot of action this past week.  The people looking at houses the week before Christmas are very serious!

All I want for Christmas this year... is a BUYER!!

Sharon, wishing you a wonderful holiday with the special new blessing that arrived this week and of course, you practice what you preach-hope Santa finds you a very committed buyer with great taste who can appreciate the house!

Where are you moving too? I'm just south of you in Georgetown, MA. Portsmouth is a great city in NH. I wish every home for sale would be staged. A stager drilled it into my head if you are a seller you cannot think like a dweller.

Merry Christmas and I hope you get the house sold. Great picture BTW

I wish you only success in the sale of your home Sharon! I agree, some of the most serious buyers are in the market at this time of the year! Merry Christmas!

Sharon I know your house will show just beautifully and you will have a buyer in no time!   I hope your move and sale goes well my friend!

Like we thought for one minute you wouldn't practice what you preach?  Never happen!  I have a good feeling you're giong to get a "buyer" for Christmas!  As always, wishing, hoping, thinking and praying, just like Dusty Springfield taught me years ago!

Sharon.....ALL the very BEST with the sale!  Your home shows wonderfully in the photos and will me amazing in person!  Looks like a beautiful setting with all the trees....this home in the SF Bay Area....put a $1 in front of those numbers and you would be under market price.  Have to say I totally AGREE that the buyers are out there at this time of year are totally serious and it's great because you don't have to contend with the "just looking" crowd!

Happy Holidays and enjoy that newm baby boy!!!!

Well, I know you will sell that house quickly because you are an EXCELLENT stager!  And you KNOW what will sell.  On a side note - it is amazing to me the people who do look at homes during the Christmas season - you never know......!

Sharon, the house shows BEAUTIFULLY. I wish you a quick sale. If I would ever sell my house I would list it in the fall or early winter. I think it's the best time with less competition and if the house shows great it sells fast. I love your Realtor's description that the house priced reasonably. I know you are selling in the winter but you could mention also that you have installed mosquito system ~ another Added Value ;-)

Sharon - what a beautiful Christmas scene and I'm sure you'll sell very quickly - I can just feel it! You and your hubby did a GREAT job of creating a beautiful Christmas tree and add in that gorgeous fireplace and it's a Christmas card! Happy Holidays!

Joanna:  A "committed buyer with great taste" is just what we want!  Thank you!

Doug:  We are moving a little further north to be closer to the grandbabies.  We have taken the Harley through Georgetown...it's beautiful.  That stager taught you well....thanks for supporting our business!

Karen:  It's great knowing that there aren't any "tire kickers" coming through.

Debra:  That means a lot, thank you!

Roger: Knowing that I have you and Dusty on my side, is all I need!

Kathy:  An extra million would be awesome!  NOw how to get my house to CA???

Laura:  You clever girl!  Thank you for putting that link!  I appreciate it!

Posted by Sharon Tara, New Hampshire Home Stager (Sharon Tara Transformations) over 7 years ago

Ana:  Well if you really want it, you better get here before Kathy and I figure out how to get it to CA.  It's going to be much more expensive there!

Posted by Sharon Tara, New Hampshire Home Stager (Sharon Tara Transformations) over 7 years ago

Susan:  It's fun isn't it?  Thanks for the well wishes!

Louise:  Thank you!  Hey, I'm looking and I'm serious!  The amount of showings we have had so far has really surprised me.

Ginger:  We are not upsizing...certainly wouldn't need anything bigger than this.  We are moving laterally as far as house size goes.  Looking forward to the day we downsize!

Alexandra:  Thank you!  As for the "love" -   you won't find a home that has been better maintained and cared for.  We built this home with love and hope to pass it on to someone who will love it just as much as we have.

Anna:  I agree, the fact that there is less competition on the market and the buyers are serious is a huge advantage to selling this time of year!  As for the mosquitos...there is no system....it was a service that we hired...and yes, I will suggest it to the new buyers.

Kristine:  Thank you for the kind words and the beautiful picture!

Gerry:  Merry Christmas to you too!  I appreciate the support, thank you!

Dear Sharon,

This has to be the one of the biggest decisions you had to make. I know it won't be easy, but it will be a success and you will too! There has to be such an emotional attachment but I know you will adjust and things will always be good for you.

Merry Christmas to you Sharon. You've been a tremendous support to me in providing feedback that was genuine and sincere. I wish you many blessings, good health, a destination that will make you happy, a stress free move, joy, happiness and all good things. \

Keep the faith Sharon. Pay-it-Forward is coming your way... I feel it!

Take care and trust that everything is going to be alright.

Kind Regards,

Patricia

Patricia:  I appreciate your support, and reassurance.  I'm a strong believer in things happening for a reason and working out for the best...I am very excited about our new chapter!
